Treatment Services
Acupuncture: Acupuncture points on the body connected by pathways called meridians, or channels. We insert very thin needles (32 to 34-gauge; 0.18-0.25mm diameter) into the skin at different acupuncture points to access and redirect the body's energy, "Qi" (CPT 97810-97811).
Chinese Herbs: Chinese herbal medicine utilizes natural substances such as leaves, roots, bark, flowers, fruit and minerals. Chinese herbs are usually administered as a formula (composed of several herbs) to balance the patient's energy, some are often used as a type of food therapy.
Cupping: A suction therapy used to draw out pathogens and increase Qi and blood flow to an area using tempered glass cups (97039).
Electro-acupuncture: Electrodes are clipped to the acupuncture needles and a very low current is passed through the needles to stimulate the body (97813-97814).
TuiNa: a Chinese style of massage that utilizes techniques like kneading, pressing, rolling, shaking and stretching to treat musculo-skeletal problems and improve the functions of channels, internal organs, tendons, bones and joints (97140).
